St. Mark's Church, Flecknoe

My photo
Flecknoe PCC
St. Mark’s Church, Flecknoe, was built with railway money in 1891 as compensation for disruption to the nearby ancient parish of Wolfhampcote - now a ‘dead’ village. Its beautiful stained glass windows and cosy atmosphere make this little Warwickshire church well worth a look inside. In addition to being the spiritual heart of the village, the church runs a Summer School, organises Spring Teas and a Harvest Festival Supper. Charities supported by St. Mark's include Warwickshire & Northants Air Ambulance, Rugby Myton Hamlet Hospice, the Children’s Society and the Mar Ephraim School in Bethlehem. We also collect on behalf of Christian Aid each spring. The arrival of our new vicar, Jane Close, in 2006, has brought new continuity to worship in the parish. Services will now take place fortnightly again, with a family service on the first Sunday and Holy Communion on the third Sunday. Times may vary, please check the newsletter or church boards for details. For small children, a play table is provided with games and colouring materials. You are welcome to leave any comments below each post.
